iMovie: Moving beyond still photos

My iMovie projects have primarily been made up of still photos. But I knew that I’ll have to learn to edit videos eventually. So when the iMovie bug bit tonight, I gave videos a try. Unfortunately, I don’t have a big library of home videos, just some random clips I took here and there. After some trial and errors, here’s my very first almost-a-video project!

This video reminds me of the movie “Last of the Mohicans”.

Initially, I wanted to use the soundtrack of the Last of the Mohicans. But my soundtrack CD konked out already :( I especially liked the sound of the waterfall that I extracted from one of the clips and replayed it over and over in this video. I’m such a genius..hahaha.

Wish I had a dollar for every trek I took up to the falls over a half century ago, . . . wow, this took me back to my childhood - this is so well done - it is chilling to one who’s been there . . thank you youngster!! This is a beauty!

This takes me back to my childhood walking up the railroad tracks from Coalport. Trying to keep your balance on the steel rail all the way up to the railroad trestle we use to jump off into the Lehigh River on a hot day. Then we would truck up to the falls, drink some cool spring water and sit there just to listen to the falls and take in the beautiful scenery. Then we would think about the Indians that use to explore this area and how it must have been back then.
Yes this video does get the old wheels turning in my head.Thank you if only for a minute or two my busy mind went back to the 50’s.
