Old news

Now that I know how to embed youtube videos to my blog I’ve got one old video that I would like to share. The Heart concert is the second open air concert that I’ve seen in the US. My first was the Live-8 concert in Philadelphia. That was in July 2005. And that day-long concert was great since it was part of several concerts that were held around the world to support the ONE organization that was trying to convince the G8 leaders to eradicate poverty especially among some African nations. And it was free!

Since that concert was a year ago, I don’t remember the list of who was there. But this video was taken when Bon Jovi sang Livin on a Prayer.

If you follow the video closely you’ll see a blond guy in a white and blue stripe shirt. I remember this guy…he was drunk (although Live-8 was supposed to be alcohol-free) and I think the water bottle that he was holding was not filled with H2O. He almost got into a fight with another guy. After the scuffle, I slowly moved away from this group. I also couldn’t help it but get myself in the video…I needed proof that I was at Live-8, just in case years down the road this event becomes some kind of milestone, which I doubt it will. I still wonder if the ONE message got across to this “Livin on a Prayer” crowd.
